My reviews/analyses of the muffin films
Click here only if you've already seen the muffin films.
1. Here, the filmmaker makes a powerful statement affirming the concept of karma and clearly sets the focus for this dozen: This series is not about the people. It's all about the muffins!
2. "U.F.M." is a classic tragedy: The muffins' tragic flaw obviously being their unchecked adventurous and reckless spirits. But taken on a political level, this protest film deplores the sad fate of so many extraordinary muffins.
3. This film has so many levels. You can come away form watching it with a happy muffiny feeling or become frightened by the pulsing pseudo-techno muffin [audio] mix and detect a sinister flavor to these morphing muffins.
4. Although set in a fairly cheery location, this film has the power to strike fear into the hearts of each and every viewer. Don't underestimate the nightmare-inspiring power of this film.
5. A gorgeous ballet in stop motion (and in the oven). "Muffinesque," indeed!
6. This classic tale clearly inculcates young people with the important moral: "Never talk to muffin trees."
7. A shocking reminder of muffins' frailty.
8. This interactive spectacle challenges the traditional concept of film, involving the user on a whole new level.
9. Yet another masterpiece from the horror genre, this cautionary tale yields useful life tips.
10. A tragic story with an ambiguous ending. This is a very deep and thought-provoking film. Bravo!
11. This French film (with English subtitles) brings an international flavor to the tray. Tres magnifique!
12. Indeed, "how can you not like muffins?" Especially when the entire muffin cast gathers for a musical finale/extravaganza that centers around the conversion of a former non-muffin-eater. Poignant and spectacular all at once! The only bad part about this film is that there isn't another to follow it. :( Sadly, this masterpiece marks the end of the muffin film collection.
