Correction: I am dead
I've died and gone to journalism education heaven
Mmm... the high points:
Dining halls in dorm clusters
Muchos computer labs
Free wireless laptop checkout at union and library :)
Nearly 100% wireless coverage campus... not that I'll be using it. It's just a fun fact.
Professional-level experience as a course (aka Missourian and KOMU)
Muchos non-Missourian publications around campus
Lol, Melissa would be amused by this... or maybe just by my being amused by this: They're renovating their SRC and they're gonna put a DJ booth in like the aerobics room or something for student workout-mix mixing. Our tour guide was all like, "Bring your glowsticks!" :)
Plus, they give credit for AP Human Geography.... Happiness! Maybe I won't have wasted time and money on that AP test!
Missouri method: I agree. :)
But, on the other hand, it appears that I may be a Flinn state finalist... I got an email today from the Honors College recruitment lady:
Subject : Happy, happy news!
Dear Flinn Finalists -
Please excuse the "broadcast" nature of this email.
I just received the list of Finalists from Dr Young
at the Flinn Foundation and I couldn't wait to
congratulate you!
And since she already sent me an email about the interview and being a regional finalist, I think this means I'm a state finalist. But I guess I won't absolutely know for sure until I get home and see if I got a letter from the Flinn Foundation.
But, the group I'm really wanting a letter from right now is the National Merti Scholarship Corporation... but I have to wait until sometime in February to know if I'm a Nat'l Merit Finalist. That would sure make Mizzou way more affordable:
Award amount: $1000 minimum; up to $2000 if you demonstrate financial need. Nonresident students also receive a full out-of-state tuition waiver.
