'I'm Hungary for Turkey'
Yes, although I didn't bring Michael's shirt, I'll use the catchphrase from it to start off my first-ever post from Hungary, from Europe, and from anywhere outside the U.S.!
As you can gather, I made it here safely. I'm currently in Budapest, Hungary, for the first couple days of my Hungary-Romania Flinn trip. On a procedural note, I'll be overseas through June 16, so don't even bother calling my cell phone. Email's the way to go if you wanna chat it up with me beyond reading whatever I have a chance to post here and the trip blog on FlinnScholars.org that'll be starting up shortly because I'll have internet access at certain points throughout the trip.
The flights went well, except for a landing (well, "an almost landing circle around, and then land" event) going into London, and everything's looking very cool here in Budapest. I'll have to tell all y'all about our landing fun at Heathrow and about what I've been up to in more detail later, but I'm a bit short on time now, so I'm just gonna put this post to bed a little early.
Much love from Budapest! –Me
