It’s (beyond) official…
I'm moving to Palm Springs!
I've been selected as a participant in Gannett's Talent Development Program, which offers recent college grads full-time jobs with a bunch of training and mentoring and so on at the media company's various properties. I'll be reporting and doing Web work at The Desert Sun and mydesert.com in Palm Springs, Calif. — not far from those windmills you see on the 10 as you drive to LA.
I finished up my copy-editing work for UPI today and start in Palm Springs in mid-June. Between now and then, I'll be gettin' my move on and saying goodbye to the Valley of the Sun. (Note to Phoenix-based friends: Keep next weekend, May 29-31, clear for last-weekend-in-town-style ridiculousness.)
And I'll also be working on my Arizona bucket list, those Arizona-type things I've always wanted to do but never done, and trying to accomplish as many items as possible before I leave the state. I'll get that list together tonight or tomorrow and post it so that anyone who's interested can offer to accompany me on my various must-do-before-leaving-Arizona tasks.
Anyway, I'm crazy excited to be moving geographically, moving into a new professional role and movin' and shakin' all along the way!
